Gluten Free Beer Tasting Angel Inn
I recently was invited to help organise a gluten free beer tasting evening by Coeliac UK and Dr Steve Ford. The event was held at the Angel Inn Holmesfield , which to the best of my knowledge is the first and only pub to serve draft gluten free beer in the UK.( do correct me if I'm wrong on this one). There was 9 different beers available to taste, not only by the specially selected panel but by the 40 odd visitors who also attended. Some beers scored better than others but amongst them where a new home brew beer ( another first) and a soon to be launch GF Beer by St Peters brewery. Wow! This sounds like fun. I was delighted to read that there were 9 different beers to taste. Maybe one day here in the US we'll have that many to choose from.
